With 487,000 reported incidents from the local authority fire services in England alone, and over 635 fires in schools reported in 2013, it’s no wonder educational establishments are taking their fire safety seriously by investing in state of the art systems to suit their requirements.
Fire FM are proud to confirm they have completed a number of installations for schools and universities over the summer – which fitting within 6 weeks is quite a challenge!
The largest installation was an addressable GENT fire alarm system for local school Queensbury Academy in Dunstable. The large scale installation across 5 blocks was completed over a 6 week programme in the summer holidays to avoid any disruption to the students and went without a hitch.
Other installations included The University of Suffolk who installed a radio EMS system and Northbridge House Schools installed a hard wired addressable GENT system.
Mark Reeves from Fire FM said “It’s always a challenge to squeeze installations over the summer holidays – but at Fire FM we understand our customers’ needs to avoid disturbance to the students and are proud to be able to offer this service, our customers are all very pleased with the results.”
Alan Keane, Facilities Manager from Northbridge House School said “Thank you for your efforts on the removal of the old EMS system and installation of new hard wired system at the school. I am more than happy to write a reference for your company based on the service we have received from Fire FM”
